Developed to waterproof mineral-based substrates through crystallization, Koester NBI contains chemicals that react with moisture and ingredients in the substrate to form crystals that fill in gaps deep within the substrate. It produces a waterproofing effect by becoming an integral part of the substrate itself.
It can be used as a waterproofing system for:
For a cure time of 28 days

All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, and free of all possible contaminants. Surface honeycombs need to be exposed to insure an uninterrupted, even coating application. Dampen areas to be coated with clean water just prior to the application NBI. Never apply over standing or running water.
If brush applied at 4.5 lbs/yd², two coats will be needed. Be sure to apply evenly, leaving no areas void. Allow a minimum of 12 hours curing time between coats. Dampen first coat prior to applying the second coat.
A total of 4.5 lbs./yd² will be required for most applications. But on dense, smooth form concrete (positive side only), 2.25 lbs/yd² may be sufficient.
50 lb. polyethylene-lined bags.
1 year in dry storage.
Cannot be used when temperatures are below 40°F or expected to drop below 40°F within 24 hours after being applied. Never use on active leaks. Should not be used on surfaces that will have active traffic.
