Decorative finishes for swimming pool decks, walkways, steps, apartment decks, entrance ways, and other places where a glossy stone finish is desired.
Mixing ratio 2:1 mixing can be facilitated by using a Jiffy mixer and a 600 rpm drill. Part "A" clear, Part "B" clear, mixed epoxy clear, Pot life 45 minutes at 77°F. Cure time 24 hours at 77°F. Do not thin Stone Dek as solvents will prevent proper cure. Bring Stone Dek to 75°F to facilitate mixing and prevent shock on cold surfaces. Do not apply on surfaces under 50°F.
Clean by acid etching, sandblasting, or shotblasting.
Apply Stone Dek neat as a primer at 120 square feet per gallon. Add to blended epoxy 4-10 parts of aggregate. Mix thoroughly. Spread evenly over area to be coated using set screeds. When Stone Dek aggregate is set apply a finish coat of neat Stone Dek over the aggregate for a more glossy finish. Polythane Glaze may also be used as a finish coat.
1 year minimum in unopened containers.
Use barrier creams and disposable rubber gloves. Wash with soap and water. Do not wash hands with solvents. Epoxies contain chemical compounds that may cause allergic skin and respiratory reaction. Harmful if swallowed. Do not get in eyes or on skin. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Wash before epoxy has set with acetone, MEK, Xylene, or toluene, these are all flammable materials. After scraping off excess material, use rags and solvent to finish cleanup. See above handling precautions.
