This is a water based emulsion specifically designed for use as both a curing membrane and a penetrating sealer. It is color matched to the 25 standard Q. C. Color Hardeners and the 25 standard Q.C. Integral Colors. Q.C. Color Cure can be applied to fresh concrete and dries to a satin finish. This creates a moisture barrier helping the surface to develop to its maximum hardness.
It is also an excellent sealer which penetrates the surface to act as a dustproofer while also improving resistance to water and various construction and normal traffic stains.
Q. C. Color Cure is applicable for both interior and exterior situations, and will not yellow or flake when applied as specified. It also meets all current VOC restrictions, and conforms to A.S.T.M. C-309 Specifications.
The Color Cure may be applied by means of a sprayer, roller or lambswool applicator. Sealer coats should always be uniform and free of puddles. Newly placed concrete slabs will require one coat for curing purposes. Newly cured concrete slabs may require two coats depending on porosity of the slabs for sealing and dustproofing purposes.
Fresh concrete applications should have an average thickness of 1 to 2 mils per coat, depending on the porosity of concrete and the curing time. Aged concrete previously sealed should be coated with an average of 2 mils per coat.
It may be applied to damp surfaces but never where water is standing. On fresh concrete, apply shortly after the sheen has left the surface.
It should be set to touch in about twenty minutes. And will dry hard in about one hour, and ready for traffic in about 24 hours.
Q.C. Color Cure is applicable for a variety of masonry surfaces but it is recommended that a test be performed prior to use. It is typically used on colored concrete surfaces but is subject to varying degrees of mottling due to varying concrete and finishing conditions. Q. C. Color Cure is not highly chemically resistant and should not be used for such applications. It is not recommended as a releasing agent, nor is it recommended for use on existing membranes, or applied where future coatings materials are to be applied.
