Permatop Liquid Binder

This is a 100% solids two component structural epoxy used primarily as a binder for tough aggregate materials in preparing mortars for resurfacing and repair of concrete floors. It is abrasive and chemical resistant. Permatop Liquid Binder can be used with aggregate blends ranging from pea gravel down to fine grades of sand. It can be used with any filler additions in areas requiring high build coatings for severe corrosion problems.

PROPERTIES:

Mix ratio	2:1 by volume
Pot life	45 minutes dependent upon temperature
Cure time	8-24 hours dependent upon temperature
Application temperature	55°F and above
Compressive Strength	10,500 RS.I. after 7 days
Coverage as a coating	Approximately 100-150 sq. Ft. Depending upon surface texture
Coverage as a mortar	Using 1 gallon of liquid to 3 parts aggregate will yield 37:/2 sq. Ft at 1/8”
Colors	Various colors available
Chemical resistance	Resistant to mild mineral acids, alkalies, detergents, skydrol, hydraulic fluids. Lubricating oils, most solvents, salts, etc.
Shelf life	Minimum 1 year in unopened cans

Surface Preparation

Surfaces should be clean free of all paints and sealants sound and relatively dry.

Cleaning: Conventional cleaning methods normally used. (Acid etching or mechanical scarification)

Product mixing:

Stir each component separately.
Blend equal volumes of base and reactor.
Mix until color is solidly uniform.
